    How to Use the ScoopBar?

You can search the Web using the hakia ScoopBar embedded in your browser (just like in any other tool bar.) hakia ScoopBar keeps the history of search queries (accessible via the down arrow) which you can erase from the main menu.

The search results will appear in your browser in the regular fashion. But now you can do more things with the ScoopBar. Just click on a link...

When you open a Webpage from the hakia search results page (click on a link), hakia ScoopBar finds the relevant section in the Webpage, highlights the text, and automatically positions the highlighted section for easy view.

If you click on the yellow Scoop image (as shown below), hakia ScoopBar will extract the relevant section of the Webpage, and save it in a local HTML page.

The saved results page will automatically pop up as shown below. The latest scooped material will be inserted in the top position. By this method, you can collect search results in an organized manner for your future use.

    Options

The options menu is accessible at the ScoopBar's skin. You can also access this menu while you are scooping results. Click on the yellow arrow button (as shown below) to reach the options menu. Select the scoop area of the text by changing the number of words before and after highlight. Enter a different file/folder name to store your search results on your local computer.

The Results button on the Scoopbar's skin helps you view and manage the results files you have stored on your local computer. Right mouse-click lets you remove the files from the list.
